Yes. Each table is solid oak throughout - not veneer or oak-effect - responsibly sourced and finished to let the grain show through. Because it is a natural material, colour, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece, so no two tables look exactly alike.

Tables come oiled as standard. The oil soaks into the timber to protect it while keeping a natural, matte feel, and oiled tops look slightly more saturated in tone once cured. If you would rather finish the wood yourself, raw sanded tabletops are also available, unfinished with no oil applied - a blank starting point for matching existing furniture or achieving a particular look of your own. These can be paired with your chosen legs separately to build the table you want.

To maintain the finish, re-oil your table with Habiol about once a year. For light surface marks, the Habiol Wood Care Kit is well suited for use between treatments. Full aftercare guidance can be found on our product care page.

Smaller tables are delivered the next working day when ordered before 12pm Monday to Friday. Please note that the 1200 x 800mm, 1500 x 600mm, and 1500 x 800mm sizes require 2-3 working days and are delivered with a two-person service. You'll receive an email confirmation with tracking once dispatched - you can also track your order at any time using your order number and email. Delivery charges are calculated at checkout based on the items in your order. Additional surcharges may apply to some areas, including the Scottish Highlands and offshore islands.

The table does not arrive fully assembled. The tabletop arrives finished and predrilled, with the legs supplied separately to attach yourself. All fixings and fitting instructions are included - you'll only need a screwdriver. With the top resting face-down on a soft surface to protect the finish, fitting is straightforward and takes around 10 minutes with one person.

Yes. Alongside our standard sizes, we can cut tops to your dimensions or quote for a bespoke piece. Cut-to-size oiled tops are re-oiled along the new edge, so the finish stays consistent across the surface. Cuts start at £15 for the first cut, with each additional cut at £10. Yes. We sell the tabletops on their own, and the legs separately, so you can put together your own combination. When you buy a top and legs as a set, the pieces come pre-drilled for easy assembly. If you buy a top and legs separately from us, we can still pre-drill them for you - just get in touch before ordering.

Chairs and benches are sold separately, so you can choose the option that best suits your space and style. You'll find matching benches and our chair range alongside the tables.

Our oak dining tables can seat up to 6 depending on the size you choose - you can see the options in our seating guide. For the space beneath the table and between the legs, our leg position diagrams give the dimensions. Our benches are made to suit our table sizes; if you'd like to check whether particular chairs will fit, you can view the chair dimensions on their individual pages, or get in touch and we'll confirm.

The grain pattern and any natural knots are set when the table is made - these give each piece its own character and won't change once it's in your home. What does develop gently over time is the colour, which continues to mature and deepen slightly. As a natural material, solid oak also responds to its surroundings and can expand a little in warmer conditions. Keeping the room at a stable humidity and away from direct heat - radiators, or underfloor heating running very warm - helps limit any movement.
