This product is the shelf only, with no brackets included. If you'd like everything in one order, we offer shelf and bracket sets, or brackets are also available separately in matching depths. If ordering brackets separately, please check they match the depth of your shelf (for example, 150mm brackets for a 150mm deep shelf).

No - this product is the shelf board only, so no fixings are included. If you order one of our shelf and bracket sets, the screws to attach the shelf to the brackets are included, along with standard rawl plugs. For certain wall types, such as plasterboard, an expandable rawl plug should be used instead (not provided) - wall fixings are best chosen to suit your wall type, as solid masonry, stud and plasterboard each need different anchors.

Our longest standard stocked size is 1500mm. If you need something longer or a non-standard size, we offer bespoke cutting - just get in touch via live chat or our contact form with your measurements and we'll provide a quote.

Each shelf is sold as a single unit, even where photography shows more than one in place. If you'd like two shelves, simply add a quantity of two to your order.

Each shelf holds up to 20kg of evenly distributed weight, when fitted using the full set of recommended brackets. Longer shelves need a middle bracket as well as one at each end - leaving it out reduces what the shelf can safely hold. Fixing into solid wall or timber studs gives the strongest hold.

Yes, with the right fixings. For hollow plasterboard walls we recommend expanding wall plugs, which anchor the bracket securely into the wall. Where possible, fixing into a timber stud behind the plasterboard gives the strongest hold, and we'd suggest staying comfortably within the 20kg distributed limit on plasterboard-only fixings.

Our shelves come in three thicknesses: 18mm, 27mm and 40mm. The 18mm suits lighter display shelving, the 27mm is a versatile middle ground for books and everyday storage, and the 40mm offers a more substantial, chunky profile with the greatest strength. All are solid oak, responsibly sourced and made to last.

Our shelves are available oiled or sanded. Oiled shelves arrive pre-finished with Habiol and are ready to fix straight away. Sanded shelves arrive unfinished, so you can sand to your desired final grit and smoothness before applying your chosen finish. For ongoing care, we recommend a Habiol Wood Care Kit - a light reapplication once or twice a year keeps the oak protected and brings out the grain.

We don't currently offer corner shelf units. Some customers combine two straight shelves to create a corner arrangement, and our bespoke cutting service can help you achieve the right lengths for the space.
